Kalamansi Books is a Filipino-owned tiny traveling pop-up bookstore. We offer a collection of children’s books, picture books, graphic novels, chapter books, middle grade books, non-fiction books, cookbooks, illustrated books and travel books. We pop up at festivals and events in Orange County, LA County and all over California.
Kalamansi Books also offers pre-sale orders and day-of sales for author visits at schools. We also do book fairs and offer a highly thoughtful, curated collection of books for all ages with a selection of newly published titles and backlist favorites, with an eye towards thoughtful and engaging stories and beautiful illustrations; books that foster empathy support language and cognitive development, which lay a strong foundation for learning. We love helping schools build reading cultures, sharing the latest research that supports readers with staff and families, and connecting students with books that they’ll love so that they become lifelong readers.
Kalamansi Books aims to connect people with books that surprise and delight both the new reader as well as families with established home libraries. Many times, people are excited to find books at our bookstore that they didn’t know even existed.
Where text meets illustration on the page is where you’ll find us most days. We love reading books, studying the art form of each category and keeping current on publishing industry news so that we can bring you the best books.
